Dear parents,
Dear students,
It is with great pleasure that the Lycée français international de Kyoto is preparing to launch the school year. All our teams are mobilized to make this school year a real success, and to enable the children you entrust to us every day to fully develop, learn, discover and live together.
The LFIK is a school of excellence, run by a highly committed parent management committee who spare no time in working for the common good. The school enrolls students from kindergarten through to high school, and two years ago the French state accredited all the classes at the collège, a recognition of the high educational quality of the school’s teachers, and the unfailing commitment of all the school’s educational and administrative staff. We have many projects ahead of us this year to develop our school and ensure that we continue to offer more to our students, enabling each of them to gain confidence and flourish. Our ambition is twofold: to enable every student to excel, while at the same time providing them with the best possible conditions in which to develop, grow, learn and open up to others and the world.
Our school is an international establishment, open to all and founded on intercultural openness and multilingualism. While the school follows the French curriculum, as do the 520 accredited schools in the AEFE network (Agence de l’enseignement français à l’étranger), its ambition is to be a bridge between French and Japanese culture, a dimension that underpins the LFIK’s identity.
We’re determined to succeed in reconciling two things: continuing to develop the establishment, opening it up to the world, making it even more attractive and offering you even more, while preserving the friendly, close-knit atmosphere that characterizes the LFIK and its entire community. We’ll do it together!
I wish you all an excellent school year.
